Dylan was studying during a free period he had in the library. He kept losing focus, though, staring all around the room. He was so bored and had a half hour left for the period. He wanted to talk to someone. Anyone. None of his friends had many classes with him, though that usually didn't bother him since he was so good at making friends. He yawned and put his head in his hands, ready to fall asleep.

Seliene reached once more to try to get the book on the very top shelf. She was already standing on a chair on top of a chair, and she was wobbling like heck. "Unnhh..." She groaned slightly, trying as hard as she could to grab it. "Book. Just. Fall. Please. Into. My. Hands." She pleaded. She finally jumped up to grab it, and latched onto it. "YES!" She said, doing a victory-fist pump. Her enthusiasm made her wobble, and fall over. She landed face-first. "Grrr..." She growled quietly.

Kayla looked around the library, her sketchbook held by her arm as she leaned against the wall. She was trying to think of something to sketch...and there was something perfect right there. A guy in her year - she had one class with him, this one - and a girl that was in her year as well. But the girl was trying to get a book...and wobbling. While the guy was looking to be about to take a nap. But at that moment, the girl fell and Kay quickly did a lightly sketch of the motion before hurriedly fixing her sketchbook and going over to her.
She recognized her when she got to her. Seliene Underwood, someone she was fond of but didn't exactly know. "You okay?" She asked, touching her arm lightly in worry. She frowned a bit, and set her sketchbook on the floor with her pencil beside it. But she lightly took the book from her hand and set it down. "I honestly don't think falling on your face is worth a book." She said, grimacing a bit. Then she moved the chair back to a random table and hurried back. "Ya, but seriously, you ok?"

Dylan jumped up when he heard someone fall. He got up slowly and looked at the girl, laughing a little. Uuum.. are you okay? He offered his hand and smiled a little to greet the other girl. He knew who they were, but he hadn't gotten to know them well.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm fine." Seliene said, snatching the book back from the girl. "my bookie!" she exclaimed, hugging it. She sounded like a four year old. "MINE. M-I-N-E. Mine." Seliene said, just to make sure they wouldn't steal it from her again. It was a "How to Draw Aliens" book. she loved aliens. She thought they were awesome in every single way.

She groaned, and shook her head. "Well, thats nothing new. That's what my little brother Gage does when you steal his teddy bear." She muttered, shaking her head as she got up, grabbing her pen absentmindedly. "Nice to know, got that much when you snatched the book after falling on your face for it." Kayla said, rolling her eyes as she gave a grim smile. Then she saw the title of the book and raised an eyebrow. "A drawing book?" She said, and shook her head as she opened her sketch book and quickly finished the sketch she had been doing of Seliene falling and the guy - Dylan? - almost asleep. Then she turned it so they could see. It was sloppy, but good enough. She got some details in..."I don't see why you would need a drawing book. It's easier to draw them free-hand." She said, shrugging as she turned her sketch back to herself and closed her sketchbook.

Now Dylan recognized the second girl. You're Kayla, right? She was in one class with him. He did pay attention to the people in the school and knew she liked art. The other girl, Seliene, was kind of weird but really funny. She made class interesting. He focused back at Kayla as he saw the sketch she held. It was clearly of him and Seliene. He was baffled. She hadn't had that long to draw such a perfectly detailed picture. You're really great at that. Drawing.

Kayla nodded at him, and then looked back down at her sketchbook as she opened it again to look through. She would have to get another one soon. Then she shrugged as she looked at him again. A sheepish grin was on her lips. "When you grow up in a house and live with 6 brothers, you kinda have to find a hobby to keep yourself sane." She said, laughing nervously. She wasn't used to people commenting on her drawings. Her brothers, or at least the twins (Alex and Caleb), always teased her about them. Marcus was the only one that had actually encouraged her by helping her, Gage of course always loved the drawings. Jason wasn't able to show much enthusiam, but he supported her with her choice. And Eddy was always making weird comments about them and suggesting weird things for her to draw. It was madness, so she just didn't listen to them. She took a deep breath and shook her head. "It's kinda some of my sloppy work...wanna see some good ones?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

Dylan smiled at her comment. I know how you feel. I've got five... and two sisters. But they don't really bother me. He was surprised that she didn't seem to know how to react to his comment. She was probably better than most of the art teachers having done what she had in such good time. Yea, that'd be great. If you don't mind. He knew that some people didn't like showing the drawings they had. He never understood that about people. If you have a talent, why wouldn't you share it?

She gawked at him and then pouted. "No fair! I'd kill to have at least one sister. I'm the only other girl in the house besides my mom." She said, her voice a grumble by the time she was quiet and she groaned in annoyance at the fact. Then she smiled a bit. "I don't mind at all." She said, before flipping to her favorite sketch. One of a house she had seen somewhere, but she couldn't remember where. Thats what she loved about it. "Ya...this one is my favorite." She said, smiling as she turned her sketchbook to where he could see it.

I only really hang out with one of my sisters. One's a twin and those two are inseperable. He chuckled at her pouting. He sure wasn't the only guy in the house. When she opened to the house sketch, he spent a good amount of time looking it over, getting every detail in. It looked like a photograph. He smiled and shook his head. You're a great artist. Is that your house?

Seliene's eyes widened at Kayla's drawings. "W-O-A-H." She spelled, laughing a little. She practically forgot about her alien book. "That's like A-W-E-S-O-M-E." She spelled again. It was kind of a habit for her to spell things instead of saying them. It was a class clown kind of thing. "Like, awesom-- oops, I mean, A-W-E-S-O-M-E."

She grinned at the two, and then laughed at Seliene's reaction. Then she answered Dylan's question. "Actually, I have no idea who's house it is. I just saw it somewhere and had to draw it." She said, shrugging as she flipped through some more of her sketches. Then she laughed again, and looked up for a moment at Seliene. "Like I said, it's easier to draw things free hand rather than use a drawing book that doesn't even instruct correctly. They always start out with the outlines, and you see them still when you're done with the drawing you practically traced. It doesn't help you truly learn how to draw." She said, before stopping on a sketch. She turned it so they could see this one. "This one I drew when I saw this one picture of mountains and a lake...I just imagined one up this way. I don't know if there really is something that looks like this..." She said, pursing her lips as she sighed. Kayla wished and hoped there was. The way she imagined it was beautiful, and she didn't think she captured that fully in her sketch. It was missing a certain something, she guessed that was the reality of it. Then she would have it correct. She blinked a bit and came back to her reality and studied Seliene's and Dylan's expressions.
